As I mentioned in my previous blog (2 weeks ago), I kind of felt like I had jumped the gun in launching Stile. I was a brand new author and trying to feel my way. Given this feeling (after meeting with a knowledgeable editor), I decided to remove Stile from the Smashwords listing, update ALL the errors (well hopefully...sometimes you just gotta stop looking and let it go) and re-publish it. Whether this decision was worth it...I will keep you updated as I just did the re-launch.
Upon review my book I decided that I needed to add something to the title rather than Stile: Book One. I have relaunched "Stile: Book One" to "Stile: Before." My thoughts on this are two-fold: "Stile: Before" sounds and looks WAY better than "Stile: Book One," at least to me. The second is my heroine and hero both undergo character changing in entering their first intense, all consuming relationship. I thought adding "Before" was a better way to title the first book of my series. My second book in the "Stile" series will be called "Stile: After."
With this new title and all the new sentencing restructuring, I decided to remove my previously published copy on Smashwords. By removing my previous publishing efforts, I could take my time to edit, put a halt on all my promos, do a good job and while working on all this, list "Stile: Before" as a pre-order. A pre-order on Smashwords, according to what I have read, generates a little bit of hype because Smashwords sends out notifications of new pre-order books available plus the week or so before release they send out another notification about new releases coming up. I have now scheduled "Stile: Before" to come out on Valentine's Day, 2016.
Crossing my fingers this all works!
